The Wildwoods Beach N Boat Fishing Challenge Rules and Regulations Addendum
THE FOLLOWING RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE FOR THE WILDWOODS BEACH N BOAT FISHING CHALLENGE. THEY SUPERCEDE THE BEACH N BOAT ANNUAL TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS AND MUST BE ABIDED BY FOR THE CHALLENGE ONLY. ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE BEACH N BOAT ANNUAL TOURNAMENT, INCLUDING MINIMUM SIZES OF QUALIFYING FISH, FOUND AT http://beachnboat.com/rules.html APPLY AND ARE IN FORCE UNLESS THEY ARE AMENDED BELOW.
WILDWOODS REGISTRATION & CHECK-IN
- The Challenge is FREE for all fisherman and is good for the entire Challenge
- All anglers wishing to fish The Wildwoods Beach N Boat Fishing Challenge must register in advance or onsite during the tournament.
- You must be registered for the Beach N Boat Annual Tournament in order to register for the challenge. Register online at http://beachnboat.com/sign-up-now, or on site at Base Camp during the published hours of operation.
- In order for fish to count toward the Challenge, anglers must check-in at Base Camp in front of The Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ 08260 prior to fishing.
QUALIFYING FISH
- Fishing for The Challenge begins at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 13, 2014 and ends at 10:00 AM on Sunday, June 15, 2014. Fish caught at any other time still qualify for the Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament.
- Following are the eight qualifying species and minimum sizes.

- Your Challenge registration covers all species and you can weigh-in as many qualifying fish as you like.
- Fishing and baiting are only permitted on the beaches of Wildwood Crest, Wildwood and North Wildwood before 10:00 AM and after 5:30 PM unless noted below.
- 24-hour fishing: City of Wildwood- In front of Convention Center only between East Andrews Avenue and East Baker Avenue.
- 24-hour fishing: North Wildwood- Inlet Beach, 50 yards West of Surf Avenue.
- Inshore Boundaries: From the point on the West side of the North Wildwoods Boulevard (N39 02.482 W74 50.297), East to the East side of the Stone Harbor Free Bridge (N39 02.380 W74 46.334) and South to the Cape May Canal Parkway Bridge (N38 56.862 W74 54.637), East to the USCG Training Center (N38 56.604 W74 52.271) AND from the Stone Harbor Free Bridge (N39 02.380 W74 46.334) SW to Stone Harbor Point (N39 01.154 W74 47.271)
- Ocean Boundaries: From Cape May Inlet to the South and Hereford Inlet to the North and out 20 nautical miles. Specifically, the USCG Training Center (N38 56.604 W74 52.271) SE to N38 40.000 W74 40.300 AND from Stone Harbor Point (N39 01.154 W74 47.271) ESE to N38 53.725 W74 28.500
WEIGHING-IN
- All fish that count toward the Challenge must be weighed in at Base Camp in front of The Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ 08260..
- Fish can be weighed on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Sunday, June 15 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
PRIZES
- A $1,000 cash (check) prize will be awarded for the single heaviest qualifying fish in each of the following species categories: Striped Bass, Bluefish, Weakfish, Black Drum, Sea Bass, Tautog, Kingfish and Fluke. All fish must meeting the minimum sizes listed above under “Qualifying Fish.”
- If no fish are caught in a given prize level of a species category, no prize will be awarded for that level.
- Any prize won by a minor will be awarded to minor's parent or legal guardian named at the time of entry. Prize recipients are responsible for payment of all applicable state and federal taxes on awards. Prizes not claimed by December 31, 2014, will be forfeited.
Participants in The Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament and The Wildwoods Beach N Boat Fishing Challenge enter at their own risk. Owners, directors, tournament committee members, tackle shops, participants and all other persons connected directly or indirectly with the operation of the tournament shall be exempt from any liability for loss, damage, negligence, harm or bodily injury suffered to any participant, boat captains, crew members, vessel and/or equipment, which may occur during the tournament.
